The Curriculum

We help your child to be an Engineer of Tomorrow!

Guide and Grow Daycare Centre offers a STEM-enriched focus supplemental to our early childhood curriculum.

We use a problem-based learning approach to engage children in exploring developmental and real-world problems.

STEM Projects

Preschool STEM activities keep little ones busy and teach them the basics of STEM they’ll require to succeed later in life. In our view, preschoolers might just be the next best engineer, astronaut, or scientist! We focus and encourage the children to build projects based on their interests. Some of them include growing seeds in a jar, building a zoo, building a bridge, cup phone and coding etc

Library Reading

We have  a wide range of about 900 books in our collection, with more added from time to time. Our books are divided into different categories making it easier for educators and children to select them based on their interests. Our Educators are always there to help children learn and understand through different props and techniques for further developmental procedures.

Puppet Center

Hand puppets help children learn to communicate freely with puppets, gaining more confidence and strength to express themselves in an open way. It provides an opportunity to take control over their world by working out their fears. It is through imaginative play that children understand the differences between fantasy and reality. Creating a puppet show is a wonderful way to help kids learn to work as part of a group and strengthen ties at the same time.

Outdoor Play

Outdoor play  is an important part of early learning. Children familiarize themselves with their natural surroundings, try to explore and have curiosity about what they see. Young children need the opportunity to use their whole body and develop their gross motor skills. They can also develop their fine motor skills as they pick up natural treasures like leaves and fir cones. Through physical activity and challenges, being outdoors helps children sleep, eat, and live more healthily. This encourages them to form healthy habits for life.

Pretend Play

Pretend play is intellectually helpful in development of a child’s social skills. When a child is involved in a pretend play, he experiments himself in the social and emotional roles of life. This can let a child experience to walk in somebody else’s shoes and provides the opportunity to identify the adult world. The examples include playing grocery store, doctor’s clinic and Bank Cashier etc.

Music & Singing

Singing plays a vital role in a child’s language development. It provides self confidence and encourages a child to communicate with others. Sometimes children even make up their own songs and sing unconsciously while playing. Also, dancing brings motor skills, self expression and helps them to strengthen memory skills. At guide and Grow we have a full hour dedicated to music, singing and dancing. It helps brain  to  stimulate alpha waves and create a sense of calmness in the listener.

Arts & Crafts

Children love art projects, and they’re a great way to foster creativity and develop fine motor skills. Art increases imagination and focus on children’s ability to think. Early years arts and cultural activities can help children make sense of their cognitive, physical, emotional, spiritual, linguistic, and moral development by enhancing the whole curriculum. Guide and Grow Daycare Centre offers a wide variety of tools and accessories to help children make their masterpieces!
